About the event

The seasonal cusp, where summer's waning bounty meets the just ripening flora of fall. And what better view of it than a walk through the vibrant landscape of Awbury Arboretum. This is the perfect time to learn about wild foods that can be preserved and plants that can be dried and processed into medicines for the coming winter. In her work with Wild Foodies,Lady Danni discusses the edibility of wild plants (and some of that will be covered), but her passion is the medicinal attributes of plants you often see and perhaps dismiss as invasive weeds. Intrinsically we hold the knowledge of how plants nurture us; we just need a little help remembering. By weaving botanical information with plant legend and lore, she hopes to change your mindset, so that you depart with an appreciation of plants once considered weeds.
